Nice Work ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Nice Work mobile app and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

Referral Information: Details about referrals you make or receive (for example, the businesses and people you refer).
Business Information: If you're a business user, information you provide about your company.
Payment Information: Limited information needed to process or send rewards, handled through our secure payment partner (e.g., Stripe). We do not store your full financial details.
Usage Data: Device information, app activity, crash logs, and analytics (collected via standard tools like Google Analytics or Firebase).
Session Recording and Behavioral Analytics: We use analytics tools to capture how you use and interact with our website through product analytics, session replay, and heatmaps to improve our products and services.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience, analyze app usage, and remember your preferences. This includes session cookies (temporary) and persistent cookies (stored on your device). You can control cookies through your browser or device settings.
Device Identifiers: We may collect unique device identifiers (such as advertising IDs, device IDs) for analytics, crash reporting, and to provide personalized experiences.

Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. After account closure, we retain certain data for up to 7 years to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained longer where required by law.
We Never Sell Your Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. How We Share Information
We may share limited information with:
- Reward Fulfillment Partners: We share necessary information with Stripe and similar services to process and deliver referral rewards
- Analytics Providers: Analytics tools receive usage data to help us improve app performance and user experience
- Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting services (like Supabase) that securely store and process data
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or government request
Third-Party Protections: All third parties are contractually required to protect your data, use it only for specified purposes, and comply with applicable privacy laws.
We Do Not Sell Your Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. SMS Messaging Program
Program Description: Nice Work sends transactional SMS messages on behalf of small service businesses ("Business Owners") to customers those Business Owners have served. Messages thank the customer, invite them to recommend the Business Owner to friends and earn a reward, notify them when a referred friend's job is completed, and remind them before any earned reward expires. No promotional or marketing content is sent.
How Consent Is Collected: Phone numbers are entered into Nice Work by Business Owners after completing a service for the customer in person. By entering a phone number, the Business Owner represents that they have a transactional relationship with the customer and have verbally confirmed permission to send a thank-you and recommendation message. Nice Work does not purchase, rent, or import phone number lists.
Message Frequency: Messages are transactional and tied to specific events. A typical recipient receives 1–4 messages per referral cycle over a window of up to 90 days: one invitation message at the time the Business Owner sends it, optionally one earnings notification when a referred friend's job is completed, and up to three reminder messages if a reward goes unclaimed. Frequency may vary.
Opt Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Nice Work SMS message. We will immediately stop sending messages to that phone number across all Business Owners using Nice Work and confirm the opt-out with one final message. Reply START to resume.

Cost: Nice Work does not charge you to receive these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier.
Carrier Disclaimer: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Data Security
We use encryption (HTTPS) and secure storage to protect your data. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard all information.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information in your account
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)

- Right to Opt Out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time

Data Breach Notification: In the event of a data breach that may affect your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law, typically within 72 hours of discovery.

Minimum Age Requirement: The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, use, or share personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.

Data Deletion: If we become aware that we have collected personal information from anyone under 18 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible, typically within 30 days of discovery.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or service offerings.

- In-app notification when you next use the Service
